CelloUna

CelloUna came into existence as a result of a request. I realised that the sound of the cello was ideal for many popular songs and well loved cello classics. I love 'playing the tune' and CelloUna gives me the opportunity to indulge!

I have worked as a professional cellist over the years and have played in some wonderful concerts and for many events and weddings.
I studied at the Guildhall School of Music and my early playing included solo recitals, freelance work with London Orchestras and recordings for groups at Abbey Road. I was also principal cellist with English Touring Opera for 12 years. I have enjoyed travelling around the world playing in concert halls and working on cruises.

After moving to the North West, I have continued to freelance, in addition to teaching.

I have always played in background music gigs – string quartets at Covent Garden, weddings at Park Lane hotels and with the move up North working in venues such as Arley Hall, Hoghton Tower, Mottram Hall and many more.  I also play in string quartets. [Thackeray String Quartet/Trio]

CelloUna is space efficient ideal for smaller spaces. All that is required is a chair!  

My songlist is developing constantly and I am happy to work with clients to source favourite music. If the backing track exists, I can arrange the song for cello. The songlist + audio tracks give an idea of what is possible for CelloUna
